Your results can be easily communicated using intuitive charts, graphs, maps and reports.
Key Benefits
Designed specifically for strategic and tactical analysis of volume data in the law-enforcement, national security and commercial environments ensures:
- Industry terminology and analytical methods can be used
- Reduced application complexity
- Reduced training costs
Data is modelled in the way analysts think and represented as links and entities to:
- Encourages lateral thought
- Increases analyst creativity
- Facilitates identification of hidden data relationships
A single analytical environment providing multiple analysis techniques means:
- Quicker analysis
- Intelligence products can be created using any combination of analytical techniques
- Simplified security administration and auditing
Save training time and improve efficiency by using one solution for all your analytical and reporting needs:
- Crime Pattern Analysis Identify patterns by exploring your data by geographical area, time, frequency, intensity or associated links.
- Operational Intelligence Assessment Maintain an operation’s focus on its agreed objectives.
- Market Profiling Profile different illegal activities. Understand commodity flows, assets, key players and demand.
- Demographic Analysis Identify underlying social trends and behaviour surrounding illegal activities.
- Criminal Business Profiling look at who or what criminal organizations are targeting; how targets are selected; where their targets are located and when and how they execute their operations.

- Risk Analysis Examine and understand the nature and scope of illegal activities and assess the risks that criminals pose.
Key Functionality
Storing and structuring your data
- import into Analyst’s Workstation data from any of your corporate databases and structure it as entities and links ready for analysis.
- Because you can import data from a number of different systems, you can analyze data from your intelligence system alongside your incident data, giving you much more complete analysis
Analyzing your data
- Pattern analysis - Data Miner enables you to identify trends in your data. You can quickly analyze volume data using a variety of graph types each ideally suited to a different type of data. You can compare sets of data, filter, sort, and then drill down to see more detail and isolate exceptions for further investigation.
- Query analysis - iBase has a powerful query tool that allow you to quickly build up queries based on the questions you want to ask without the need to learn a complex query language.
- Network analysis - Analyst’s Notebook is a powerful tool for analyzing associations, sequences of events, or flow of commodities. It can reveal patterns and links within data that would have been difficult to spot using conventional querying and reporting. It can help you quickly produce a profile of the activities of an individual or organization, and identify where you need to concentrate your investigations.
- Spatial - You will frequently want to analyze your data by the location of incidents and use maps to present the results of your analysis. Analyst’s Workstation provides interfaces to leading GIS desktop applications, allowing you to use your favorite tool for spatial analysis whilst still using the power and ease of use of the Analyst’s Workstation tools
Presenting your data
- Analyst’s Workstation lets you present the results of your analysis in the way that best suits your audience. You may have a combination of maps, association charts and reports; and may need to present them electronically or on paper. Analyst’s Workstation gives you a range of options, and you can save templates for your regular reports so that you can present your analysis quickly and professionally.
Recording your analysis
- Analyst’s Workstation allows you to save and reuse the analysis steps you have taken, saving you time spent on repetitive tasks, and giving you more time for in-depth analysis. You can organize these records into folders and save them as private to your group or make them publicly available.
- Advanced audit features provide in-depth analysis of each user’s activities.
