Introduction to the tutorial

This tutorial explains how to use the anacubis™ Viewer by searching a demonstration information service (Information X) for a fictional company.

We are going to:

  1. Query Information X for this fictional company, creating a View of all the matching entities found in the information service.

  2. Drill down into the information service and add related entities to the View - the names of company directors, contact details, financial information, and other companies connected as shareholders or subsidiaries.

  3. Use the anacubis™ Viewer to work with the entities and links on the View, in order to summarize the intelligence it contains and maximize its impact upon third parties.

  4. Access more information stored by the information service about entities on the View, such as the full details of a business registration.

  5. Transfer Views to anacubis™ Desktop, the world's leading commercial intelligence visualization tool.

Note

The anacubis™ Viewer is highly configurable, and information services will almost certainly tailor its user interface to their particular business needs. The anacubis™ Viewer you see in this tutorial, therefore, may not resemble the one you work with when you sign up with an information service for real. However, this tutorial endeavors to demonstrate principles that will be common to all users.
