Introduction to Position
The Training Department provides training to all i2 customers, distributors and internal staff in the use of the company’s software products and how these interact with other third-party software. The trainers within the department prepare and deliver this training.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
To develop and deliver training courses in the use of i2’s software both at our offices in Cambridge and at customer sites, both in the UK and overseas.
- Training: deliver training courses at our offices in Cambridge as detailed on the course schedule and cover courses for other members of the department when they are sick.
- Training: deliver training courses at customer sites – this may involve staying away from home for the duration of the course which may occasionally mean staying away over a weekend.
- Course Development & maintenance: liaise with product managers, software development teams and documentors in order to devise new training courses for new products or upgrades to existing products.
- Product Feedback: take an interest in i2 software products and to be involved in discussions about software usability and functionality. As members of a customer-facing department, Trainers are an important part of the feedback process from customers to i2's development teams.
- Course Bookings: assist in the administration of course bookings when the Training Administrator is absent.
- User Group Conferences: assist in the preparation of materials for User Group Conferences and participate at these conferences as and when necessary.
In addition to these duties, employees are expected to undertake other duties as may reasonably be required.
Requirements
Essential
- The ability to produce a course including preparing lesson plans and accompanying documentation
- The ability to train in a Microsoft Windows environment
- The ability to use MS Office packages to prepare course materials
- The ability to set up and prepare a training room including a good working knowledge of Windows Explorer, how to install software and an understanding of printing over networks.
- The ability to learn new software packages quickly
Desirable
- Knowledge of i2’s software
- Background in either military or law enforcement intelligence analysis
- TAP® qualified

Applications Consultant - Consultancy
Introduction
The Consultancy Group is responsible for delivering bespoke developments for customers who require i2 functionality within their own applications or need additional features to those provided in i2’s standard products. The group also carries out development and installation of custom solutions using i2’s enterprise-level products. It also provides technical training and advice on product integration and development.
Main Function of the Job
Reporting to the VP Professional Services, the job holder is responsible for designing and delivering bespoke solutions for end users, either individually on small-scale projects or as part of a team on larger-scale solutions. (Note: In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time.)
Main Duties/Responsibilities
These include:- Accompany sales staff on customer visits to provide technical assistance
- Advise systems integrators on the use of i2 products and toolkits
- Work on speculative projects to develop prototypes for presentation of new ideas both internally and to prospective users
- Work with IT and user departments to determine requirements and agree solutions
- Write proposal documents and specifications detailing requirements, solutions and deliverables
- Develop, implement, test and document solutions, working both at i2 and the customer sites
- Provide training to end users on bespoke elements of solutions
- Provide support for bespoke developments, including technical assistance to the Support team on consultancy-related issues
- Work with product teams to ensure they deliver appropriate components for consultants
- Feed back i2 software issues and ideas for improvement back to the relevant product teams
- Maintain a shared repository of all consultancy project materials
- Record project progress, including hours worked, in a CRM database
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and with the latest i2 product developments
Skills Required to Perform Job
- Experience of customer contact including requirements gathering and cooperative working

- C# experience
- Experience of working with SQL Server would be an advantage

The Human Resources Team are responsible for the full range of employee related activity including recruitment & selection, training & development, employment law & policy and employee benefit administration including private healthcare and pension scheme membership.

The job holder works closely with the HR Executive and in addition is tasked by the HR Manager and SVP HR with undertaking ad hoc projects, research and assisting line managers with broader HR issues as appropriate. Main Duties/Responsibilities
Generalist Operational Support to Line Managers:Working under the supervision of the HR Manager/SVP HR, the Senior HR Executive will provide a planned method of support to line mangers across all areas of HR related activity.
